Wateredge is just a mile south of Ambleside , with its famous Bridge House, Armitt Museum and shops, stroll there via Borrans Park (adjacent to the Inn) and see the remains
Of Galava Roman Fort by the river.

Troutbeck via Jenkins Crag, a wonderfull Lake view point, returning over the top of Wansfell to Ambleside (approx 7 miles)
