Ah April, we like to think it’s the beginning of summer. Sunshine, countryside, and lambs, The Lake District really is wonderful at this time of year. Here’s a little run down of some brilliant events (especially walks!) on this April.
8th April – Navigation skills for beginners

9th April – Hills, Gills and Falls walk
A walk over Tom Heights to Colwith Force and Holme Fell with views over Coniston Water
12th April – Wordsworth Wednesdays
A packed day of activities for all the family
13th April – Over Lingmoor into Little Langdale walk
A brilliant walk out of Elterwater village onto Lingmoor Fell and Side Pike descending to Blea Tarn and Little Langdale
14th April – Egg’stra Special Easter
A fun Easter trail with face painting, egg decorating and Easter animal mask making. From 11am-3
15th April – A host of Daffodils walk
Walk from Glenridding to the legendary Aira Force waterfalls and to the site of Wordsworth’s golden daffodils.
20th April – Miterdale Meander walk
A lovely walk along River Mite valley to stone circles above Eskdale.
29th April – Martindale Deer Valley walk
A walk up Martindale to Angle Tarn by Heck Crag
